We still have a few Flu vaccinations for age range 18-64 years for people who are eligible due to certain long-term health conditions or classified as ‘at risk’. If you are unsure then you can review further information on the https://www.nhs FLU vaccination webpage or speak to the Surgery. The vaccines will cease to be available after the 31/03/2025.

However the Nurse team continue all other routine vaccinations for infants/children and adults. Further information can be viewed at www.nhs.uk ‘NHS vaccinations and when to have them’. The surgery constantly reviews who is eligible for vaccinations and will endeavour to contact you accordingly and send you a link for you to view, explaining why the immunisation is recommended with the invite, to enable you to make an informed choice.

March 12th is NATIONAL NO SMOKING DAY and we shall provide information at the surgery in the form of leaflets for you to access leading up to this date for you to pick up and view the local and national smoking cessation support to aid you to plan to quit smoking. Or why not look online on the following websites to receive a personal quit plan www.nhs.uk or download the free NHS app. Or call our local support called ‘Better Health’ on 03330 050095 or text QUIT to 60777

We welcome Nicki Cox as our new Practice Reception & Administration Manager and is appointed to supervise and support the reception and administration team. Her photo is included in this edition.

May we send our best wishes to all readers, and look forward to updating you again next month.

Kind regards, Sister Rose Bain, Queen’s Nurse (on behalf of the team at Barton Family Practice)
